It is preferred though not absolutely necessary that this piece is performed with the musicians facing each other, inward, with the audience surrounding them on all sides.
This is a trio for violin, Paetzold contrabass recorder, and bowed cardboard. All musicians also play glass bottles, and there is an electronic, fixed media track. The bowed cardboard part is quite substantial, and can be played by anyone who has a sensitivity of touch, is capable of finding subtlety in everyday objects and materials, and is comfortable operating a bass bow.
